Packaging distributor Rajapack UK has changed its name to RAJA UK, bringing the Bedfordshire-based supplier into line with the RAJA Group brand used across Europe. The company says it supplies more than 43,000 UK businesses.
The UK operation has traded since 1998 and sits within the RAJA Group, founded in France in 1954 by Rachel Marcovici and Janine Rocher, whose first names gave the company its name. The group serves 19 European countries.
One brand across 19 markets
Adopting the group name is intended to give customers a single recognisable brand across those markets, the company said. Tom Rodda, managing director of RAJA UK, said that while the name had changed, what customers rely on had not: the same people, the same product range and the same next-day service. With peak trading only weeks away, he added, the business has also tried to make planning easier through a free tool that puts a figure on what the busiest weeks will cost.
Prepare for Peak
The name change coincides with RAJA UK's free Prepare for Peak tool, designed to help businesses estimate what peak will cost their packing operation, and what they could save, ahead of Black Friday on 27 November.
Users select their industry to see how far orders typically rise at peak, drawing on benchmarks that blend Office for National Statistics retail data with RAJA order data from 2023 to 2025. They then enter their own figures, such as parcels handled per day and the number of people packing.
The output is an illustrative estimate rather than a quotation, the company said, positioning the figures as a planning aid for peak-season resourcing rather than a committed price. Both announcements land in the same window: a name that now matches the group's European identity, and a planning exercise aimed at the weeks when order volumes and packing workloads are highest, with the operational offer presented as unchanged.
