Landscape Forms has relaunched SHUFFLE, a multi-function infrastructure system that combines Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications and EV-charging capabilities in a single vertical pole. The company positions the product for public spaces where site managers want more services without adding a collection of separate poles and visible equipment.

According to Landscape Forms, the relaunch responds to rising customer expectations and to pressure on municipalities, campuses and commercial developers to expand site functionality without increasing visual clutter or additional cost. SHUFFLE is designed to consolidate those capabilities into one adaptable system, and Landscape Forms says the pole is easy to activate and install.

Modular configuration

The system uses modular components that can be customized and updated as site needs change. Landscape Forms says the integrated design brings modern aesthetics and efficiencies to busy, multi-use environments. The company has also added a new build feature to its website that simplifies configuration; clients can specify preferred camera and technology brands and choose from options within each category.

New feature updates are described as plug-and-play options. They include a 360-degree area light, a decorative light ring, a 180-degree area light, quad-view and 180-degree cameras, motion sensors, and loudspeaker and intercom modules.

Designed for varied public settings

Landscape Forms says the modular design can be configured for specialized environments as well as general public spaces. Potential applications listed by the company include university and business campuses, airports and commuting hubs, shopping malls and tourist areas, concert halls, city parks, sports venues and hospitals.

Shannon Lee, Business Development Manager for Smart Poles at Schréder, said in the announcement that SHUFFLE addresses a need site designers have been waiting to see met. Lee said the system was designed to fit busy public spaces with product and feature sets that can be updated as site needs evolve, and that safety and connectivity are integrated without dominating the outdoor environment.

Technology and design

Jordan Agustin, President of Lighting at Landscape Forms, said SHUFFLE represents the kind of thinking the industry needs, with technology and design working together to make outdoor spaces safer and smarter without compromising aesthetics. Agustin said the new features enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor space while advancing Landscape Forms’ mission of connecting people to the outdoors and to each other.

The relaunch comes as public spaces continue to add pole-mounted sensors, cameras, lighting and connectivity equipment, according to the announcement. Landscape Forms is presenting SHUFFLE as a way to add those services through a single, configurable format rather than through separate installations.
