Three diesel generator enclosures — two compact canopy units and one large container-sized set — on gravel pads at a remote industrial site, with power cables running to a switchgear cabinet.

Aggreko has launched three Tier 4 Final diesel generators configured for remote Canadian work sites, rated at 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW at 600V. The models are available exclusively to Canadian contractors.

All three units are CSA and UN31A compliant, covering Canadian electrical and fuel regulations, and pair Aggreko's current generator technology with hardware set up for local market requirements. Aggreko says the range is intended to meet and exceed what contractors in the country need.

Onboard 600V output on the largest unit

The 1200 kW model carries onboard 600V capability, removing the need for additional step-up transformers. According to Aggreko, the direct 600V output reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and cuts the number of potential failure points — an edge it says matters most for large industrial loads where 600V is frequently required.

The 145 kW and 210 kW sets are canopy units built for quick deployment against immediate energy needs, while the 1200 kW model targets large industrial loads. Together they extend Aggreko's Canadian fleet, which runs from 25 kW to 1200 kW.

"Tailoring our most advanced generators for our Canadian customers underscores the importance of this market for Aggreko," said Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko. He cited large petrochemical and mining industries needing power across vast, remote territories, alongside construction and data centre sectors, as evidence of demand for engineered energy solutions that are powerful and precisely configured.

Service network and data centre demand

Through its Canadian service centres, Aggreko's energy specialists work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events on temporary power deployments.

The company states that all three generators deliver fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels beyond local requirements. It also positions the units for Canada's expanding data centre sector, where provincial regulators are looking to limit the power operators pull from the grid; the Tier 4 Final sets are offered as off-grid supply that keeps facilities operating with minimal disruption to communities.
